The school aims to train high-caliber and professionally competent translators and interpreters in various fields of work such as culture and arts, journalism, educational and research institutions, medicine and legal firms, and foreign affairs offices in Jilin Province. The school also aims to equip students with indispensable professional abilities and qualities. The school encourages students to launch innovative translation and interpreting projects on their own and emphasizes the combination of learning and practice.
In the last three years, students have won 48 national awards ranging from translation and interpreting contests to speech contests. There are already 547 graduates in total, including141 MTI graduates. On average, the employment rate has reached as high as 98% and 82% employment according to the major. Some outstanding graduates from the school work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies, government-affiliated institutions, universities and research institutions.
