JISU aims to become a nationally ranked, internationalized and application-oriented private university of foreign languages by 2020 with non-profit spirit and distinguishable features, one world-known prominent university that boasts several top educational concentrations by 2030, and finally a centennial top university that operates with a high level of democratization, legalization and internationalization.

●Mission Statement

JISU persists in offering quality application-oriented undergraduate education and developing postgraduate education with professional degrees (with a student population around 12000, of which 10000 are undergraduates). Taking language teaching as the major fields, supplemented by Chinese, Economics, Administration, Education and Art, JISU prepares high quality, well-rounded and self-motivated human resources of foreign languages and foreign affairs for technical and professional services. The students are going to acquire impeccable bilingual or multilingual speaking and interpreting abilities and possess one or two technical or professional specialties, with qualified intellectual competence, professional quality and moral strength, to serve the country and the world.
