2014, President Qin He were selected as “The Fourth Batch of Top-notch Innovative Personnel of Jilin Province (the first level)”, the first deputy director of the Jilin Provincial Chinese Vocational Education Society and executive member of the Twelfth Executive Committee of the Jilin Provincial Women’s Federation, and earned the honorary doctorate of Kyungnam  University in South Korea. The university implemented five strategic projects, making striking progress to the goal of “a leading domestic private university by 2020”. We established a Graduate School with three newly established master degree authorization programs, including Education Master, International Business Master, Master of International Education of Chinese. The school successfully hosted the UNESCO “2014 Asia-Europe Forum on Education” and set up three research institutes, such as application-oriented talent cultivation institute to enhance scientific research. The university was named “50 Typical University for National Graduate Employment” and topped the list in 2014 Chinese non-government universities of foreign language rankings and five specialties, including English (bilingual), Japanese, International Economics and Trade, Editing and Publishing, as well as Business Administration, were selected as 2014 star-rated majors of Chinese private universities. BayinChaolu, the then governor of Jilin Province, the current party secretary visited the university. The university fully implemented the supplementary pension policy, and benefits for teachers have been greatly improved. Bai Jialin, one of the faculty members, won the title of “National Excellent Teacher”; two young teachers took the crown in the bilingual teaching skill competition of teachers majoring in international business in private universities; one student won first prize in National Italian Language and Culture Knowledge Contest, all of which manifested the achievements of JHUFL.
