Korean

Elementary Comprehensive   Korean

In   this course, students acquire knowledge in Korean phonetics, primary   vocabulary, grammar, basic daily dialogues and Korean culture. Thus they   deepen their understanding of Korea through Korean language learning.

Intermediate   Comprehensive Korean

Through   using sentence patterns, dialogues and different styles of Korean article, students   improve their five basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading,   writing and translating. Students will improve their Korean language proficiency   and communication skills.

Advanced   Comprehensive Korean

Through this course, students acquire advanced   knowledge in Korean vocabulary and grammar, daily conversation and culture.

Korean   Phonetics

Students develop basic skills in   phonetics to enable them to eventually master the Korean phonetic system and   skillfully use phonetic rules to read words effectively.

Introduction   to Korean Culture

This course helps students have a   comprehensive understanding of South Korea and develop an effective system for   Korean language learning.

Korean   Grammar

Through   lectures on various grammar topics, this course helps students learn how to utilize   different grammar structures, understand grammatical phenomena, and write   correct expressions, sentences and short writings.

Korean   Listening

Students   develop listening and speaking skills by listening to various Korean texts   with useful

vocabulary and grammar.

Advanced    Translation between Korean and Chinese

Students learn methods for translating   words, sentence patterns and the different styles of Korean articles. Thus,   they will learn translation skills such as literal translation, transliteration   and free translation, develop an advanced translation ability and improve their   Korean language proficiency.

Persian

Comprehensive   Persian

Students   study the Persian written language and accumulate knowledge in grammar,   vocabulary and other language aspects.

Persian Reading

This course expands students’ vocabulary and help them become familiar with all kinds of article styles.

Basic Persian Listening

This course helps improve students’ listening   ability.

Spoken Persian

Persian spoken language is based on the written   language, which has great changes. This course aims at getting familiar with   spoken Persian.

Mongolian

Primary   Mongolian

Over   2 semesters, this course helps beginner students with no previous knowledge   of Mongolian learn Mongolian pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, sentence   patterns, conversation and texts. Students will gain a preliminary foundation   for further learning.

Intermediate   Mongolian

Over   two semesters, students will increase their Mongolian vocabulary, strengthen   their listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating abilities in   Mongolian. This course utilizes helpful dialogues and text   explanations and improves students’ knowledge in grammar.

Advanced   Mongolian

Over   2 semesters, students continue to increase their vocabulary and further   strengthen their listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating   abilities.

Mongolian   Audio-visual-speaking

Over   a total of six semesters of audio-visual-speaking training in the first three   year of college, this course strengthens students' abilities in audio-visual   activities, speaking, and interpreting. This occurs through three levels of   training: primary level, secondary level and advanced level.

Mongolian   Grammar

In   2 semesters, the grammar of the Mongolian language is comprehensively and   systematically explained, which provides a solid foundation for further study   in secondary and advanced Mongolian courses.

Mongolian   Reading

In   two semesters, students expand their vocabulary, consolidate grammar   knowledge and strengthen reading skills and translation ability.

Mongolian   Translation Theories

In   this course, students are taught the theoretical knowledge and skills of   Mongolian translation.

Mongolian   Translation Practice

Over   one semester of training, students practice their basic skills in translation   and interpretation between the Mongolian and Chinese languages.

Spoken   Mongolian

This   course strengthens the students' abilities to have ever-day conversation in   Mongolian.

Students   develop basic writing ability.

General   Situation of Mongolian

Students   gain a preliminary understanding of the current general situation of Mongolia.

Indonesian

Basic   Indonesian

This   course helps students master basic Indonesian vocabulary, grammar, and   sentence patterns.

This   course enables students to understand daily and business Indonesian.

This   course helps students master Indonesian pronunciation and fluently communicate   in daily life as well as business meetings.

This   course aims to help students read fluently, understand written texts correctly,   and expand their scope of knowledge.

Indonesian   Interpretation

In   this course, listening and speaking abilities are required, and students are   required to have a complete and accurate understanding of people’s purposes.   Thus, students practice doing complete interpretations.
