Moral   Education and Law Fundamentals

This course studies the set of ideas that China’s economy and politics are based   on, as well as the basics of our law system. In view of the ideological, moral and legal problems faced by college students in their growth, this course aims to help students to develop a Marxist world outlook, positive life philosophy, values, moral standards and outlook on the rule of law.

An Introduction   to Mao Zedong Thought and Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

This course is the study ofthe theoretical basis and formation of Mao Zedong   Thought and the Theory of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. Both are thefruit of acombination of Marxism with China’s revolution and China’s national   conditions, as well as with China’s reform and opening up practices. Both are the results of practice and wisdom on the part of the public led by the Communist   Party of China. Both are remarkable embodiments of “advancing with times.”

An Outline   of Basic Principles of Marxism

This coursegives an overall account of the basic principles of Marxism. It aims to   help students set up a Marxist world outlook and life philosophy, have a deep   insight intothe issues that emerge in the course of socialism evolution as well as capitalism evolution, and constantly adhere to socialism and communism whilecommitting themselves to the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

An Outline   of Modern and Contemporary Chinese history

This course is an outline of the modern history of China since the 19th century,aiming to help students understand the development of China’s revolutions and the evolution of the modern Chinese society. It also aims to let students have a better understanding of China’s national conditions and the process of reform and opening-up. Aftercompleting this study, it is hoped that students can enhance their confidence in socialism and the Communist Party of China, as well as devote themselves to the pursuit of realizing the Chinese Dream of   Great Rejuvenation.

Situation   and Policy

This course is characterizedby timeliness and is issue-based and situation-based,   as well provides students proper guidance in having asharp insight into current   affairs at home and abroad. The course also helps students gain a better   understanding of such historic events as the “reform and opening up,” as well as the achievements that China has gained under the leadership of the Communist   Party of China since the 18th National Party Congress. Through this   course content, students will more clearly understand the basic theories, guidelines   and general plan held by the CPC and firmly adhere to the “Four Consciousness” and the “Four Self-confidences".
