An Outline of Modern and Contemporary Chinese history |
This course is an outline of the modern history of China since the 19th century,aiming to help students understand the development of China’s revolutions and the evolution of the modern Chinese society. It also aims to let students have a better understanding of China’s national conditions and the process of reform and opening-up. Aftercompleting this study, it is hoped that students can enhance their confidence in socialism and the Communist Party of China, as well as devote themselves to the pursuit of realizing the Chinese Dream of Great Rejuvenation. |

Situation and Policy |
This course is characterizedby timeliness and is issue-based and situation-based, as well provides students proper guidance in having asharp insight into current affairs at home and abroad. The course also helps students gain a better understanding of such historic events as the “reform and opening up,” as well as the achievements that China has gained under the leadership of the Communist Party of China since the 18th National Party Congress. Through this course content, students will more clearly understand the basic theories, guidelines and general plan held by the CPC and firmly adhere to the “Four Consciousness” and the “Four Self-confidences". |
