From May 29th to 30th, the 11th “CP Cup” (Sponsored by the CP Group) National University Students Market Research and Analysis Competition, was held at Henan University. Under the guidance of Liu Xinzhu, Jiang Liyuan, and Li Yanyu, the “Houlai Zhaguo” (meaning: the late comers surpass the early starters) team composed of Yang Dehao, Dong Junfu, He Tian, Li Kaige of Economics major (1801) and Zhang Limeng of International Enterprise Management major (1801), won the second prize. Their prize-winning work is named “With Urban Optimization, CP Arriving at Top Speed—Survey on the Satisfaction of CP Food Intelligent Terminal Distribution in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou”.

The competition was co-sponsored by the Statistics Major Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education along with the Commerce Statistical Society of China (CSSC). It started in September, 2020, and lasted a total of nine months. There were 565 participating colleges and universities and 106,000 participants in the undergraduate group. Going through a series of competitions one after another -- online knowledge contest, school contest, enterprise topic contest and provincial contest, 936 students of 208 teams in 124 colleges and universities from 27 provinces (cities/autonomous regions/municipalities) in China, finally made it to the national final.

This award should be credited to our students who have fully applied their major knowledge and skills to research and practice with a positive sense of teamwork and cooperation. The students effectively tested what they learned by applying statistical theory and modeling methods into the practice of market research and data analysis, thus greatly stimulating their learning enthusiasm.
