On the afternoon of April 14, A Dong, vice governor of Jilin Province, investigated and surveyed JISU on the development of the university. In the company of president Qin He and other university leaders, Vice Governor A Dong and his team members visited the Center Square, learned about the development of JISU, and praised the school for creating a high-quality educational and teaching environment for students. They also visited the International Language and Culture Practice Teaching Center, as well as the Global Village including the Chinese Village, Japan Pavilion, Korean Village, German Village, and the Russian Language Village. They were impressed by its atmosphere of “Experience Cultures through Languages and Be Exposed to Languages through Cultures.” They learned about the purchase and the use of original foreign books and had a cordial exchange with the students who were preparing for the postgraduate qualifying examination. They praised the design of the library which integrated modernization, information and ecology with internationalization, and the "student-centered and most responsible education” philosophy.

During the survey, Vice Governor A Dong said that JISU is now the first and the only private university in China that has been renamed from a college to a university. In Jilin, JISU’s rapid development is closely associated with president Qin He’s original intention of education for two decades. Firstly, it is due to president Qin He’s ideal and dream. The combination of the pursuit of ideal and education dream of president Qin He has determined the school-running level and development space in the future. Secondly, it is because of president Qin He’s faith in education. JISU’s leaders hold the firm belief that it aims to be a century-old prestigious school. Finally, it is owing to president Qin He’s vision. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that “we strive to gradually develop a new pattern of development in which the domestic cycle plays the main role while the domestic and international cycles mutually support one another.” The practice of the Global Village that realizes cultural integration and the world’s vision and presents the idea of “Bridge” fully embodies the thought of General Secretary Xi Jinping.

A Dong, Vice Governor of Jilin Province, stressed that the way to run a university is closely related to its development in the future. JISU, with the right direction of operation, should make good use of the policies and do related work to promote the integration of education and productive activities, collaborative education, and high-quality development. Relevant government departments should further increase input and support for all sectors and support the development of education through a variety of approaches including social donations.

All the teachers and students in JISU are greatly inspired by vice governor A Dong’s speech. President Qin He said that A Dong’s recognition and encouragement to JISU have provided a driving force and indicated directions for developing a high-level university. 2021 is the first year of the ‘14th Five Year Plan’ for JISU. As for the arduous and urgent tasks of the high-level university building and pursuing the entitlement  to confer the Doctor’s Degrees, all the teachers and students of JISU will persist in “Starting A New Undertaking.” They will also comprehensively strengthen the connotation construction, and push towards high quality development with its characteristics, contributing more to comprehensive and all-round revitalization of Jilin Province.
