Recently, the final list of the Provincial Demonstration/Construction Projects on Courses’ Ideological and Political Education has been released. JISU concluded five courses in the list, with courses of Principles of Pedagogy and Design and Implementation of Chinese Teaching falling into the Demonstration category, and College Chinese, Meeting China, and Basic Theory and Practice of Interpreting into the Construction category.
JISU attaches great importance to the implementation of courses’ ideological and political education with the overall goal of thoroughly learning and implementing the key statements about higher education delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping. These courses carry out the fundamental tasks of strengthening moral education and cultivating people. The University will apply ideological and political education to curriculum’s design, content, teaching process, learning assessment, and courses’ evaluation in every aspect at every section while allowing the role of each course and each class in the education to integrate professional education with ideological and political education, while also combining the knowledgeable instruction with valuable guidance
JISU will further promote curriculum’s ideological and political education during the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan to build a batch of active academies, and demonstrations of majors courses. A number of outstanding teachers and teams at curriculum’s ideological and political education will be selected as guides to reform actively and consciously. We should create a strong atmosphere of “Three-Integrity Education” at JISU so as to vigorously cultivate practical, composite and internationalized students in foreign language and foreign affairs with their knowledge, ability and well-rounded individuals.
