JISU Attends the International Education Forum Online Summit

On March 25th, at the invitation of St. Petersburg, Russia for “the Eleventh St. Petersburg International Education Summit”, JISU participated in the Online Summit of the International Forum on the theme of “Learners’ Motivation in International Chinese Education in the Context of Modern Education”.

The forum was sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of China, the Education Bureau of the St. Petersburg and Consulate-General of The People’s Republic of China in St. Petersburg as well as being undertaken by Confucius Classrooms in St. Petersburg along with the 32nd St. Petersburg Secondary School. More than 70 experts and scholars from China, Russia, Armenia, the United States, Kenya, and other countries discussed and exchanged experiences in an online conference on the methods of boosting the level of international Chinese teaching and the motivation of Chinese learners.

Wang Wenli, Consul-General of The People’s Republic of China in St. Petersburg, was Delivering a Speech.

The First Deputy Director General of the St. Petersburg Education Bureau was Making Speech.

Dong Guangcai, the Section Chief of the International Exchange and Cooperate Centre of JISU, Xi Chunyou, the Dean of the International Academy of Arts, and Other Teachers Attended the Conference.

Dong Guangcai, the Section Chief of the International Exchange and Cooperate Centre of JISU, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He expressed  appreciation to the organizers for their gracious hospitality and his aspiration to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with domestic and foreign education experts and scholars to promote educational cooperation. Song Dandan, the deputy director general of the International Exchange and Cooperate Centre of JISU, also made a speech at the forum. She shared of JISU’s experience of cultural activities on the Confucius Institute held in the United States and concretely illustrated the effective integration of Chinese teaching, American universities, local communities, and resources. Xi Chunyou, the Dean of the International Academy of Arts, also was present for the meeting. Related personnel of the International Exchange and Cooperate Centre and the International Academy of Arts also joined in the meeting.

Teachers at the conference all expressed that the forum was held with a clear focus, great speeches, and enthusiastic discussion, and was highly beneficial. They would grasp the opportunity to develop broader exchange channels and carry out deeper educational exchanges and cooperation.
