The exchange activity, based on the years of experience of JISU in implementing the program that international students learn in China for a short-term, is mainly focused towards students at the Confucius Institute at New Jersey City University and its Confucius Classroom. This Confucius Institute adopts the teaching scheme of combining language learning with cultural experience, highlighting the folk costumes and culture in Northern China. Its projects cover three parts: the overview of China and Northern culture, the experiences and activities of China and Northern traditional culture, and an online perception of the distinctive culture of Jilin Province. Some contents of Chinese language learning are also involved. In addition, JISU conducted the program in the form of live course, recorded courses and online videos for different curriculum contents and practice arrangements. The activities included six hours of live courses, seven hours of recorded courses and five hours of online interaction and perceptions. The closing ceremony was held on April 17. This program adopts a creative mean of online exchanges, which is a new experience of international exchange. It has created favorable conditions for deepening the cultural exchange and cooperation between JISU and New Jersey City University as well as the surrounding local high schools in the United States. This program also enhances the cultural and educational exchanges and mutual understandings between China and the United States.
