On October 15, the ceremony of the 2020 Jilin Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week and the “New Red Flag: Innovation Drives Entrepreneurship Activity” officially launched. Bayanqolu, the Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee made notes, and Jing Junhai, the Vice Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and governor declared this event open by delivering a speech. Wu Jingping, a standing committee member of the CPC Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor hosted this activity. Zhang Zhijun, the mayor of Changchun, and Xu Liuping, the Chairman of the China FAW Group, addressed the audience with speeches. Qin He, the President of Jilin International Studies University, was invited to the ceremony. Our school alumni Cai Xue, the chairman of Shulan Nongfeng Rice Co-operative also gave a speech at the ceremony.
Bayanqolu pointed out in his address that in recent years, a snowball effect of mass entrepreneurship and innovation in Jilin province generated an in-depth integration with economic societal progress. Both of these elements play a crucial role in the stability of economic growth, the optimization of economic structure and the improvement of peoples’ livelihoods. Innovation begins the process for increasing development. During his visit to Jilin Province, General Secretary Xi Jinping encouraged earnest implementation of several main points including extensive measures for innovative and expansive reforms, optimization of the business environment for further stimulation of the market, social creativity, and advanced development of innovation and entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, we should promote the ability of entrepreneurs to create more employment opportunities, strengthen the role of science and technology innovation, progress innovation and entrepreneurship using varying on and offline platforms, the collaborate among enterprises, universities and research institutions, and the integrate business partnerships of all sizes. By doing so, we could provide a solid guarantee for safeguarding economic growth and social stability, and promoting the revitalization in all respects of Jilin province in the new era.
On behalf of the provincial Party Committee and government, Jing Junhai delivered congratulations on the success of the event. He pledged that mass entrepreneurship and innovation are now commercialized at a faster pace in Jilin province because of thorough implementation of instructions from General Secretary Xi Jinping about innovation and entrepreneurship. This activity was designed to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions in Jilin province into practice. Taking action to follow the leadership of Xi Jinping is of great significance to move forward faster by blazing new paths of development and rejuvenation. Firstly, we should organize and work precisely to insure economic activity. By upholding logical, efficient, and excellent policies and pushing forward the integration of online and offline activities, we should continue to build-up steam in entrepreneurship and innovation. Secondly, we should summon enough courage to build an outstanding brand using innovation and entrepreneurship. We should focus on the industrial layout of “one primary and six doubles” and strive to build Changchun into a brand that is known for its innovation and entrepreneurship. Local governments should continue to conduct a dislocation development and build a number of innovation centers, technology centers, research and development centers, and transformation centers to promote overall improvement in modernization and entrepreneurship. China FAW Group and other leading enterprises should set examples by strengthening the core technologies and improve their independent ability of research and development using the key elements. In addition, leading enterprises should guide various resource to pool into agriculture, rural areas and farmers to attract talented personnel to start businesses in rural areas, and encourage more farmers to start businesses or find jobs. By encouraging farmers to expand their farming techniques and businesses, we can accelerate efforts to realize agricultural modernization. Thirdly, we should provide good services with passion to unleash more potential of innovation and entrepreneurship. We will build platforms, improve systems, and optimize the environment to make the innovation and entrepreneurship more creative and vital.
After visiting the Jilin Province Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Achievement Exhibition, Jing Junhai encouraged innovative and entrepreneurial personnel to meet demands and integrate resources in order to create quality products and make contributions that improve the competitiveness of industrial and supply chains. More than 100 people took part in the activity, including Zhang Xi, President of Jilin University, Qiu Xiandong, General Manager of FAW Group, Wang Zhihou, Secretary General of provincial Government, relevant staff of universities, scientific research units and enterprises, representatives of the demonstration base of mass entrepreneurship and innovation and model representatives of innovation and entrepreneurship.
