From August 26 to 29, the 5th World Jilin Entrepreneurs Convention, with the theme of “undertake the new mission, integrate into dual circulation”, was held in Changchun. 15 volunteers from JISU participated in the convention. They served in several positions including conference scheduling, safety guarantee, reception of merchants, etc. for over 500 hours. They all stayed on the job and drew praise from sponsors and participants for their meticulous work, caring and considerate service and dedicated spirit.

The volunteers were impressed deeply by this experience. Zuo Qian, an Education major in class 1801 from the School of Education, said, “through this voluntary work, I learned more about the good investment and trade environment of Jilin, and the good momentum of economic development in the northeast. Meanwhile, I realized the great significance of China’s opening up, and it broadened my horizon.”
Zhang Ping, an English major in class 1805 from the School of English, said, “Each voluntary activity gave me the chance to accumulate experience and enhance my capability. It deepened my understanding of careful and rigorous attitude, hard work and selfless spirit throughout the volunteering experience from the primary preparation to the service on site. From now on, I will make more efforts to solidify my professional knowledge and spend more time on exercising and improving myself in practical activities.”
Leng Xuebing, a Chinese Language Literature major in class 1801 from the School of International Communication, said, “By the voluntary work in the 5th World Jilin Entrepreneurs Convention, I realized that a large convention is integrated with multi-cooperational efforts because the strength of unity is the most powerful. I learned how to take targeted measures for all emergencies and felt the dedicated spirit of persisting in something until the end. This valuable experience will guide me in my work and study in the future, as my practice as I grow.”
