From July 23 to 24, President Qin He, accompanied by 11 officials, visited Yanbian University for investigation and study. The two universities signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation. This is another comprehensive and in-depth cooperation with universities after we signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with Jilin Agricultural University and Changchun Normal University, which is of great significance in accelerating the process of building a high-level characteristic university.

President Qin inspected the construction of the new liberal arts experimental class at Yanbian University

In accompany of President Jin Xiong of Yanbian University, Vice Secretary Chen Tie, and Vice President Zhang Yuhong, etc., President Qin He visited the university history showroom, as well as learned more about the new liberal arts classes and the foreign language and literature discipline construction. She also investigated the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education --- the North Korea-South Korea Research Center and Teacher Development Center in Yanbian University.

Later, President Qin signed the Framework Agreement for Strategic Cooperation with President Jin Xiong between the two universities.

President Qin and President Jin respectively delivered gracious speeches at the signing ceremony. They each expressed their strong will to carry out closer and deeper cooperation between the two universities for accelerating the construction of high-level characteristic universities, jointly promoting high-quality development, and facilitating the national construction and revitalization in all respects of Jilin province.

Under the agreement, the two universities will give full play to their respective advantages in line with the principles of complementary strengths, resource sharing, comprehensive cooperation, mutual benefit, deepening cooperation in discipline construction, personnel training, team construction, scientific research, international exchanges etc., and build up a long-term, comprehensive and in-depth strategic cooperative relationship featuring mutual support, dependence and development.
