In order to implement the “Notice of the Jilin Provincial Department of Education on Carrying out the ‘Safe Production Month’ and ‘Baishan Songshui Safety’ Activities in 2020”, JISU, on the afternoon of June 5, organized a fire safety training and drill. This training helped promote quality education of employees and strengthen their knowledge of fire safety. Relevant personnel from the Student Affairs Office, Security Office, General Affairs Office, Logistics Service Center, and Asset Equipment Management Office participated in the event.

Liu Yuntao, Deputy Director of the JISU’s Security Department, served as the keynote speaker of the training. Starting with the basic knowledge of fire safety and relevant case studies, he vividly explained related knowledge and demonstrated skills related to self-rescue.

During the emergency evacuation drill, everyone obeyed the command to evacuate in an orderly and swift manner according to the prescribed evacuation route.

During the fire-fighting drill, the fire safety personnel gave face-to-face and hand-to-hand guidance to the participants. This allowed everyone to participate in the drill and master the basic knowledge of firefighting.

Participants said that through training and drills, they have effectively enhanced their fire safety awareness, mastered basic skills of fire extinguishing and self-preservation, and improved safety and prevention capabilities. This training laid solid foundation for making the steady improvement of safety management of JISU for a safe university.
