President Qin He analyzed the situation of epidemic prevention in the country and Jilin Province, summarized a variety of works including campus management and control, prevention and control publicity, information investigation, foreign contact, financial assistance, online teaching, employment services, and scientific research carried out by the university during the epidemic. She also put forward some opinions on how to rectify existing problems and deficiencies.
President Qin He indicated that in the next step, all units and departments should prepare for the start of the coming semester in line with the requirements of the country, provincial and municipal governments and territorial departments, and the overall organization of the university. It is necessary to improve the work scheme according to changes in the national and provincial epidemic situation. It is necessary to continue to do a good job with online teaching management, adjusting teaching plans, staying connected to your work, strengthening curriculum resources and platform support, enhancing teaching skills training, shouldering the main responsibility of colleges, and improving online teaching quality. Efforts should be paid to the cultivation of students’ self-learning ability to ensure their online learning is effective. JISU should strengthen the development of first-class majors, and advance the work closely around the goals and tasks of building first-class undergraduate majors.
JISU will comprehensively launch the construction of the “new liberal arts”. Building this program will accelerate the construction of “dual features”, help prepare for the “Fourteenth Five-Year Plan”, organize the preparation of degree authorization units including additional materials for degree points, coordinate the work of postgraduate re-examination admission and thesis defense, and deepen comprehensive reform of graduate education to strengthen MTI graduate education management.

JISU will build an online platform that strives to open up employment channels, and provide accurate employment assistance to graduates from Hubei. JISU will make a good enrollment plan, expand the enrollment publicity, and encourage the publicity and admission of “upgrading from a junior college to a university.”
President Qin He demanded that all backbones firstly raise their political position. It is necessary to live a life of security and physical health placing teachers and students first in order to overcome overwhelming thoughts, numbed emotions and war-weariness. The second request was for innovative thinking. We must innovate and broaden our horizons. We must think ahead and try to predict future events. We must closely link the work of this unit and this department with the university’s development goals and actively contribute to the development of the university. The third requirement is high-level coordination.
