On January 3, the Political Consultation Conference was held and attended by provincial leaders, the provincial CPPCC members, and heads of all democratic parties and federations of industry and commerce at the provincial level. The leaders solicited public opinions on the“Report Draft of Governmental Work”. Jing Junhai, deputy secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and governor of Jilin province, delivered a speech at the meeting. Jiang Zelin, chairman of the CPPCC Jilin Provincial Committee, hosted the meeting. As a member of the Standing Committee of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultation Conference and deputy chairman of theJilin Provincial Democratic Development Committee, President Qin He attended the meeting and gavea speech.

Her speech was themed:"accelerating the development of higher education and promoting Jilin's overall revitalization". In the speech, President Qin suggested that we should stress Jilin's revitalization and take the demands of economic and social development in our province into account to continuously increase investment in higher education, promote the integration of resources, enhance structural adjustment, vigorously improve the professional talentand finally ensure the sustained, healthy and rapid development of higher education.

Having attentively listened to opinions from participants, Jing Junhai responded that, “All advice and suggestions were practical and are worthy of careful consideration. We will carefully sort them out to further improve the report.”

Jin Junhai pointed out  that, over the last year, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade President Xi Jinping as its core, Jilin province as a whole has been forging ahead and striving for success, and there have been many fruitful changes made in economic operation. On behalf of the provincial government, he expressed his heart felt thanks to everyone all.

Jing Junhai stressed that in 2020 we should fully implement the essential ideas of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and instructions and coordinate with the work of the provincial Party Committee to promote steady growth and reformation, improve people's livelihood, andprevent risks as well as ensure stability. In order to make the 13th Five-Year plan a great success and ensure that society continuously moves forward.
