JISU hosted the Graduate Employment Fair 2020 (Jilin Session) on the afternoon of December 4 in response to the country’s strategy of “New Round of Northeast Revitalization” and project of “Roots in Jilin and Revitalization of Jilin”. The employment fair, specially held for enterprises in Jilin province, aimed to create a platform for better serving Jilin’s all-around revitalization.

Representatives from more than 50 enterprises from inside and outside Jilin Province attended the fair, including Jilin Zhengye Group, Changchun Keshi Derun, Changchun New Oriental, Changchun Suning Tesco, etc. The fair provided graduates with more than 1,000 employment opportunities involving foreign trade, finance, sales, teaching, translation, media, etc. Recruitment specialists commented that JISU graduates are well received by employers due to their comprehensive quality including high foreign language ability, pioneering spirit, diligence, dedication, vocational knowledge, honesty, and trustworthiness.

Graduates are optimistic about employment prospects in Jilin Province. Yan Yuzhu, a student majoring in International Finance and graduating in 2020, has determined to work in Jilin province after graduation. “Jilin province has developed rapidly in many aspects in recent years,” she said, "this provides lots of opportunities for college graduates like us to improve ourselves and practice our skills. We will make unremitting efforts to contribute to the development of Jilin province."

It is worth mentioning that many non-graduate students also attended the event in order to make connections with employers. “I want to know what the market needs from graduates. It is helpful for me to further clarify my learning orientation, define my future career goals, gather some experience and make preparations for my first job”, said Ding Xiaoqi, a junior majoring in English.
