On the evening of September 28th, National Day Reception for Foreign Experts 2018 hosted by People’s Government of Jilin Province was held at Song Yuan Hotel in Changchun. Provincial Committee and Standing Committee Member, Vice Governor Wu Jingping attended this reception. Daniel Scott Browne, an American teacher in our university, won the award of Excellent Foreign Expert of Jilin Province.  
    Having worked in our university for 6 years, Mr. Browne is mainly responsible for the course of Advanced English Listening and Speaking, a weekly English Corner as well as an English Speaking Club. He is strict and hard-working, and is respected among teachers and students for being professional, cooperative and supportive. Mr. Browne has made great contributions to the teaching development of our university in his time here.
   This award shows the high teaching quality and professional skills of the foreign teachers in our university, and an affirmation of the powerful teaching system that is in place at HQUFL. All of the foreign teachers in our university are expected to teach with excellence, and to make more contributions to help achieve the goals our university has set in second language learning and the education of Jilin Province.
