Hello, everyone!
I am Tallinn from Russia, a first-year graduate student majoring in international business.
My hometown is Chita, Russia, which is a beautiful and quiet city. It is not far from China, so a lot of people there have close ties to China. Some people have business in China and others have travelled here a lot.
The relationship between China and me started in 2006. That year, I went to the city of Manzhouli in northern China to take part in a singing contest. Although Manzhouli is not as prosperous as large metropolises like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, we had a wonderful experience due to the warm hearts of the local people. The contest left a deep impression on me and remains a fond memory. After the contest, I decided to learn the Chinese language. However, an opportunity to pursue this wouldn't come until much later.
In February, I was working at the Ministry of International Cooperation and Economic Relations of Russia when I met two JISU teachers,Li Yingtao and Zhang Wei, who encouraged me to study in China. Because of this, I came to JISU for one-month of intensive learning. During that time, Mr Li encouraged me to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship and I was really excited when I heard that I got it. In August 2018, I came back to China and was more than ready to study at JISU again. I would like to extend my thanks Li Yingtao and Zhang Wei for their support and encouragement which have brought me this far.
I am so happy to have this precious opportunity to study at JISU. I love everything about this university. Teachers are smart, kind and knowledgable, and they go to great lengths to help us learn Chinese culture and language. Chinese students also welcome us and constantly show kindness by giving us a helping hand when needed. When we have time, there is a varity of wonderful activities to take part in, so we have many opportunities to make new friends and enjoy our leisure time. The Global Village is a great learning center because I can learn about the cultures of many countries. The immersive environment really helps us grasp the great variety of cultures in the world. I think this building is truly unique! At JISU, I feel that their slogan is true: all is for students to acquire knowledge and skills. These are ideal conditions for me, and as a result JISU has become my second home.
Finally, I would like to thank JISU for providing us with a good environment for both learning and living.
Thank you.
