Admission Information for JISU concerning
“The Silk Road” Scholarship by the Chinese Government — 2019

Duration: Four Years
Scholarship Award:
1. Free registration, tuition and accommodation.
2. Allowance of 2500 RMB per month.
3. Comprehensive medical insurance for international students provided by the Chinese Government Scholarship.
Eligibility for the Scholarship:
1. An applicant should be under 25 years of age.
2. An applicant must have passed the HSK4 Test (valid within the last 2 years).
Application Materials Required (Duplicates required):
1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship. Applicants can visit the official website of the China Scholarship Council (www.campuschina.org) and register according to the requirements. Before printed, the application form must be filled out correctly and manually signed by the applicant. A photo of the applicant is also required on the form. The address of the applicant needs to be filled out in English.
2. Notarized copy of the highest diploma or graduation certificate. The English version of the copies is also needed and should be notarized.
3. Notarized high school transcripts in English or Chinese. Transcripts in other languages must be translated into Chinese or English, notarized, and attached to the original copies.
4. Personal statement of applicant’s study or research plan either in Chinese or in English, not less than 800 words. Applicant can expand on his plan in Chinese with additional sheets of paper if necessary.
5. Form for Foreigner Health Checkup Record
The form for Foreigner Health Checkup Record, issued by China entry-exit inspection and quarantine authorities, can be downloaded on the website of the China Scholarship Council (www.campuschina.org). The form is required to be filled out in English. An applicant must complete all required programs on the form of Foreigner Health Checkup Record. The form is considered invalid if any of the following conditions occur:
a. Not all checkup programs required are completed;
b. There is no photo of the applicant on the form or an across-junction seal can not be found on the photo;
c. There is no signature or stamp by a doctor in charge and a qualified hospital;
An applicant must consider the date of the health checkup because the term of validity for the checkup result is six months. The health checkup record has to be notarized by the Chinese Embassy or Consulates before his/her entry into China. Once an applicant is admitted, he/she has to register in JISU with all of the original copies of his/her notarized health record.
6. Copy of the ordinary passport within its term of validity
