Huang Jiying

Professor Huang Jiying, Ph.D., graduated from Northeast Normal University. She is currently the Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School of Jilin International Studies University (JISU).

She is the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the City University of New Jersey, USA, Visiting Scholar of Alma College(1993-94) and Emory University (1994-1995), Visiting Fellow at Yale University (2000, 2001), High Visiting Scholar of UCLA Fulbright (2004-2005), Chinese Dean of the Confucius Institute at the University of Alaska at Anchorage (2009-2011).

The main courses she teaches are English and American literature, Asian American literature, Literary Translation, Translation Practice, and Translation Workshop. She has published two translations on Chinese and American diplomatic history, and compiled two text-books on English and American Literature recommended by the Chinese Ministry of Education. She has published more than ten academic papers on American Asian literature and culture in CSSCI and other core journals. She has presided over five provincial and ministerial projects, six translation projects and participated in dozens of teaching and research programs.
