Professor and Doctor Song Xiaoping, graduated from the University of Havana, and is the director of the Spanish Department of the College of Western Languages at Jilin Huaqiao University of Foreign Languages.

The main courses Professor Song teaches are Introduction to Spanish Translation, Interpretation Theory and Skills, Translation Project Management, Spanish Translation, Interpretation, Intensive Reading, among others.

Professor Song formerly served as the Director of the China and Cuba Friendship Association, the Vice President of the China and Latin American Society and Executive Deputy Editor of the Latin American Studies magazine. Professor Song is a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Accreditation Committee for translation and research, and a member of the National Social Science Fund project peer review expert pool.  

Professor Song has published more than 100 papers, and more than twenty monographs and translations. Much of Professor Song’s research has won ministerial awards as well.
