The Institute of Chinese and Foreign Cultures takes the study of Chinese culture worldwide and cultural exchanges between China and other countries as its starting point. Rooted in China’s excellent traditional culture, it incorporates outstanding cultural elements from around the world, constructing a “bridge culture” on account of the integration of Chinese and Western cultures. Based on the local culture of Jilin Province and aligned with the development needs of Jilin International Studies University, the institute focuses on comparative studies of Chinese and Western cultures, research on the literature and culture of ethnic minorities in Jilin Province, and the construction of campus culture in private universities. In recent years, the institute’s team members have led or participated in over 20 national and provincial research projects, published more than 100 academic papers, authored 4 academic monographs, and attended over 20 academic events both domestically and internationally.
