Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education announced the list of 2020 national and provincial first-class undergraduate program construction points. Theprograms of French and Japanese at JISU were selected as the national first-classprograms, and theprograms of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, Russian and Arabic went to the first-class undergraduate category in Jilin Province.

By now, three national first-class undergraduate majors and nineprovincial first-class undergraduate majors are been built at JISU, of which the former includes theprogramsof English, Japanese and French,andthe latter refers to theprogramsof Korean, International Economics and Trade, Education Science, Italian, Translation, German, Arabic, Russian, and Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

Taking the national first-class undergraduate program construction points as an opportunity, JISU will adhere to its standards and follow the “Four Returns” requirements to refine program characteristics, enhance the level ofprogramconnotation and construction and actively play a leading role of first-class undergraduate program construction points. The school will make efforts to summarize, take the essence and publicize the successful experience in a timely manner so as to drive the development of other related programs’ development, improve the overall level of JISU’s professional construction, and elevate the school to a new stage in construction of a high-level university.
