Recently, the sponsors of the 2019-2020 Public Service Advertisement Contest held by the Jilin Provincial Radio and Television Administration distributed the results of review online. The work“Pay Attribute to People like Guo Jiannan”jointly created by Guo Liang and Liu Tingting, JISU teachers of the International Academy Art and Li Zhengyi, a student from the major of the Broadcasting and Hosting for the Arts, who was enrolled at JISU in 2018, won the excellence award in radio works. The International Academy of Arts was rated as the“Great Organization”by JISU.

The Public Service Advertisement work“Pay Attribute to People likeGuo Jiannan”recreated original poor scenes when Guo Jiannan initially came to rural poverty alleviation areas by describing great changes brought by poverty-alleviation cadres. Student Li Zihao said,“2020 represents the ending battle of poverty alleviation. During the period, there were many poverty-alleviation people like‘Nan Brother’who were willing to give up their personal gains for public profits, and reach grass-roots areas to work on the front line. The entire preparation of the work was a rare opportunity on professional practice and so I wanted to express thanks to the two teachers for their careful guidance. I will continue to work hard and improve myself to achieve better achievements!”

The Advertising Broadcasting is one of the core courses in the Broadcasting and the Hosting of the Arts Programme of the International Academic Arts. Combined with relevant courses, the International Academy of Arts established the JISU Media Studio in 2020 and produced and broadcast 35 public service advertisements involving epidemic battle, poverty alleviation, public safety, etc.. They transformed the theoretical knowledge into sound products, spread and promoted these products through new media platforms, and further assessed the extent of students’learning on professional courses, promoting the core values of socialism and producing widespread social resonance.
