Recently, the result of the second national college students "Star of Pleasant Reading" reading and speech activity was announced. The speech "Overcome the Epidemic, Life Is Waiting" delivered by Liu Yang, a student from class 1701 of thePreschool Education major in the School of Education, won the "Copper Star Award" and "Internet Popularity Award". The speech "Attitude" made by Ruan Wenxin, a student from class 1902 of the Tourism Management major in the International School of Culture and Tourism, won the "Internet Popularity Award". In addition, our school won the "Star Organization Unit Award".

This activity was held by the Reading Promotion Committee of the Library Society of China. Since its launch in April of this year, it has received positive responses and participation from nearly 200 universities across the country, and a total of 3,132 submissions of reading and speeches have been collected. After screening, 20 golden star, 40 silver star, 60 copper star, 100 internet popularity awards, 60 star guidance teachers, and 50 star organization units were appraised and evaluated in the final contest.

Under the joint promotion of the library and Student Affairs Office, the activity was widely participated in by students fromJISU. Many students said that the activity helped them share reading experiences with each other and stimulate their enthusiasm to read more good books by recording reading videos.
