JISU has been ready for the new term in autumn to welcome students who are continuously returning to school from August 26 to 28. To ensure that students come back to school safely and resume their studies smoothly, JISU strictly observes the instruction principles of Ministry of Education, the Jilin Provincial Party Committee and the Jilin provincial government, formulating the “JISU Epidemic Prevention and Control Approaches During the Period of Students Returning in the autumn term of 2020” and related plans in line with the coherent deployment by provinces and municipalities. JISU has fully prepared for all tasks ahead of time such as publicity of common knowledge in health and epidemic prevention, disinfection and sterilization across the campus, and so on. All these targeted measures are taken to guarantee students’ safety.

Students are permitted to walk into JISU after several procedures including luggage disinfection, temperature testing, check of security code in Jilin and student identity card, hand disinfection, etc, through safe passages in the west and north gate.
School Bus for Students’ Convenience
Considering the rainy day and heavy luggage, JISU arranged several school buses to provide proper assistance to students, with counselors from all schools and volunteers helping back-to-school students with their baggage. The bedding purchasing area was also set in the apartment to considerately serve students.

The key words “happiness”, “missing”, and “not sees for ages”conveythe true feelings of students who returned back to campus a long time later.Senior students Wang Cen, Shan Xiaoting, and Zhang Chuyuan majoring in translation returned to school together with an early arrangement. Wang Cen says, “I’m a senior student now, and I can’t bear to leave school with only 7 months left for me to stay in campus. We are all very happy to come here again because we miss everything about campus and wish to see it as soon as possible. The college will give us the atmosphere of fast-paced life owing to different goals and tasks such as the entrance exams for postgraduate schools, studying abroad, seeking for jobs, etc. We all appreciate JISU for the wonderful environment and platform of learning and growth, so what we need to do is just to try out best to do our own thing.”
Cheng Xinyi
A large number of students carried with them full and heavy luggage and various packages towards their dormitories after more than half a year’s absence from campus. Both Cheng Xinyi (a junior German major student) and Xie Yao (a senior English and French major) returned to campus with two suitcases, a handbag, and a backpack. Cheng Yi said with smile, “These bags weigh at least one hundred jin! The term beginning propels the weak girls to be stronger like a boy! I have been ready to welcome myself with great passion from today— a new beginning and a new starting point!”
Xie Yao
Xie Yao says with mixed feelings, “JISU really gives me a kind of long-lost feeling of prolonged separation! The rigorous satisfying methods of epidemic prevention and control involving temperature check and code scanning I experience now give us a sense of safety. Next, I will make good preparations for the new semester by being busy with cleaning up my bedroom and taking exams.”
