Recently, the fourth “National Youth Cup” college art and design works competition, organized by the China Life Sciences Society Arts and Design Education Branch, has successfully concluded. A total of 13 works from JISU won prizes, including 1 first prize in the teacher’s group, 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 4 third prizes in the student’s group. JISU was rewarded as Excellent Organization. Teachers Xi Chunyou, Liu Tingting, and Na Risu from the School of International Art, won the “Excellent Organization Teacher Award for Works Exhibition” and teachers Na Risu and Yang Miao were named as “Excellent Instructors”.

The Chinese Life Sciences Society, organizer of this competition, is a national first-level league, superintended by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The competition was held to encourage original works, stimulate personality and inspire innovative thinking. The competition also sought to display the latest achievements in art and design, spread the newest concepts of art and design, and enable college teachers and students to be equipped with the cutting-edge design philosophy and international vision through work and international exchanges activities.

Encouraging students to learn more through competitions and combining practical teaching with professional cultivation are the original intentions of the School of International Art for both teachers and students entering the competition. Through well-organized activities of the School of International Art, a total of 39 works from 26 students were collected, which greatly inspired students’ passion to learn. Meanwhile, the competition not only further tested the performance of professional talent cultivation, but also provided useful experience for the promotion of professional development and the integrated development of production, education, research and application.
