Recently, the National Competition of the “Teaching Star” Contest for Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press in 2020 was held. The English Department from the School of English of JISU won a special prize in the undergraduate English grouping. They won first prize in the and advanced to the national semi-final round.

The contest was launched in early April, attracting foreign language teachers from colleges and universities nationwide.The organizing committee received a total of 406 entries from the college Englishteaching group and 254 from the English-major teaching group. After fierce competition, sixty-four teams advanced to the national semifinals of the college English teaching group, and twenty-four teams successfully advanced to the national semifinals of the English-major teaching group.

This competition is an effective test of foreign language teaching of JISU. It will play a positive role in improving teaching and promoting teaching innovation reform.
