Words from Teachers and Students of JISU to the Two Sessions: Continue to Strive for the Great Revival in the New Era

The third session of the Thirteenth National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the third session of the Thirteenth National People’s Congress opened in Beijing from May 21 to May 22. Teachers and students of JISU have been concerned about the 2020 Two Sessions because of their special background and significance. The majority of faculty members and students watched the live broadcast of the opening meeting and studied the government work report carefully; through online communication, they shared their experience; through video, calligraphy and paintings, they expressed their keen expectations for the 2020 sessions.

Shoulder the Responsibility for the Prosperity of China

Chen Haohua, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Oriental Language School said, “The 2020 Two Sessions is a grand event held in the year when the well-off society is fully completed. We believe that under the leadership of the party and the country, we will be able to overcome the epidemic, and the great road of socialism with Chinese characteristics will boast a bright future.”

Zhang Yao, the Director of the Student Affairs Office of the School of Education stated, “The opening of the sessions marks the decisive results of the epidemic prevention and control, representing our resolution of defeating the difficulties by joint efforts and our belief in building a well-off society. Everybody should shoulder his obligations and responsibilities to build a powerful country. Each of us must stick to our position and dedicate ourselves to the prosperity of the country.”

Liu Bo, Teaching Secretary of the School of Education shared these words. “I hope the 2020 Two Sessions will introduce more and better policies about teaching. As teachers at a college, we will do our utmost to teach and promote learning in order to grow better while preventing and controlling the epidemic

Zhang Pankun, the Director of the Student Affairs Office of the Graduate School explained, “The “special” Two Sessions during this period have made us feel a heightened sense of responsibility, the mission of the party, and the government looking out for the people’s interests above all else. As a college advisor, I will always keep my responsibilities in mind and instruct students to become qualified socialist builders and successors.”

Bi Miao, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Graduate School shared, “We should write a new chapter at this time. During the special period of epidemic prevention and control, the convening of 2020 Two Sessions is of greater significance to the development of the country. As an educator, I will work harder to inspire students’ thoughts, strengthen humanistic care and psychological counseling, and create a high-quality spiritual home for their healthy growth.”

Strive for the Great Revival of China

Li Jian, from Class 1702 majoring in Accounting expressed, “Through the government work report, I have a clear understanding of the achievements made by my country in the past year. I also have a deeper recognition of the changes and new actions in the new era.

Xin Yue, from Class 1802 majoring in Accounting stated, “Struggling creates history and hard work makes the future. As the Two Sessions are held as scheduled, we are witnesses. We must also take responsibility and become the strugglers of the new era.”

Wu Shiyin, from Class 1801 majoring in Human Resources Management spoke these words, “A series of measures that solve people’s livelihood, alleviate social conflicts, and focus on development allows us to see a promising future. China will continue to write a new chapter of great revival.”

Zhang Xinyang, from Class 1903 majoring in Business English stated, “As young people in the new era, we should work hard to sharpen our will, and develop good skills. I will utilize what I have learned to defend the dignity of my motherland, and dedicate myself to a prosperous China.”

Wang Handuo, from Class 1801 majoring in English shared, “As young people in the new era, we are lucky because we are so close to the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We must, cherish time, work diligently, move forward bravely with firm ideals and convictions, and contribute efforts to the prosperity of the motherland.”

Zhu Yating, from Class 1901 majoring in Indonesian, “The 2020 Two Sessions was held during the epidemic prevention and control period. This has strengthened our confidence and vitality. We youth in the new era will respond to the call of the times, serve our motherland with actions, and achieve our dreams with dedications.”

Ma Xin, from Class 1701 majoring in Chinese International Education expressed, “A new start marks a new direction, and a new era calls for better talents. As college students in the new era, we must be determined to work hard for the prosperity of the country, the happiness of the people, and the great revival of the nation.”

Ji Ting, a graduate student of Teaching the Chinese Language in 2019, “The epidemic allows us to truly see China’s institutional advantages and sense of responsibility. In light of the intricate external environment and downward pressure on the domestic economy, the convening of the Two Sessions of 2020 has an important and far-reaching impact on the Chinese people and the world. With the joint efforts of the people across the country, we will definitely defeat the epidemic and have a brighter future!”
