JISU Holds a Meeting on the Topic of Strengthening Training for Improving Teachers’ Teaching Ability

On May 8, a meeting on the topic of strengthening training for improving teachers’ teaching ability was held by the Teaching Development Center, expounding upon the “Measures of JISU for Credit Management in Teaching Training (for trial implementation)” (hereinafter referred to as “the Measures”) issued by JISU. President Assistant Liao Anyong as well as deans and office directors of all schools attended the meeting.

The meeting was hosted by Chen Jing, the Director of Teaching Development Center. She first introduced the meaning and background of the issuance of the Measures, as well as listed some relevant instructions from the Ministry of Education about strengthening training for teachers. Then, she gave a detailed explanation on the highlights in the Measures to emphasize the key contents and operation details. She also stated ways to use Chaoxing and its relative functions (especially aspects concerning online learning records and credit registration, etc.)

Liao Anyong, the President Assistant, listed three requirements to all teaching units. First, they are required to pay attention to this credit system and understand this system deeply to actively and effectively implement it. Secondly, they are required to continuously optimize and perfect the details of the operation of the system, and assist teachers to participate in online training activities. Thirdly,they are required to organize the majority of teachers to participate in the online training activities provided by the school, so as to improve the level of online teaching and effectively guarantee the quality of online teaching and the learning outcome of students.
