In recent days, the national selection for star units of reading promotion, sponsored by the Library Society of China (LSC), announced the results. JISU’s library was in the list of awarded, according tothe Notice of LSC Star Organizations and Units of Reading Promotion in 2019.

During the 2019 World Book Day period, through the elaborate organization and vigorous promotion of JISU’s library, teachers and students were encouraged to participate in the reading activity themed "Reading Classics, Gaining New Knowledge and Linking to a Better Life”, which was jointly sponsored by the Library Society of China and the National Library. During the activity, students of JISU, on behalf of Jilin Province, were selected to participate in the nationwide reading contest of " common knowledgeof reading rolls " and won the second prize.
