In order to thoroughly implement the Important Instructions Spirit of the speech series given by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee’s decision and deployment, while maintaining student ideological and political education, JISU organized an online training. All counselors and student work leaders were required to participate.

The theme of this training is“being responsible for fighting against COVID-19 and educating students with patriotism”.The training was held on the College Counselors Network Platform of National Education Administration College. The curriculum focuses on the following aspects: value and ideology instruction, academic guidance and class management, psychological adjustment and health maintenance, daily affairs education management, career planning and employment guidance and knowledge on COVID-19 prevention and control. The training has three stages, preparation, study and summary; and has four steps, including course learning, thematic discussion，live question-answering, and experience writing.

This training will help staff in charge of students’ management fully realize how to deal with the ideology and politics work, enhance their competency of ideological and political education (IPE) in this new season, andimprove the pertinence, effectiveness and innovation of IPE. Meanwhile, it will help counselors raise their ideological and cultural quality, enhance professional skills and quality, and promote specialization construction of counselors.
