Recently, sponsored by the Youth League Committee and hosted by the JISU media, the speech contest of “Efforts to Fight against the Pandemic, Heartwarming Stories” came to an end. This online contest was held to encourage students by sharing hope-filled stories.
The competition lasted for more than 20 days and attracted over 100 students. After several rounds of selection, Pan Siqi, a freshman majoring in the arts of broadcasting and anchoring won the championship; Ban Xiao Chaoyun, from the same class as Pan Siqi, and Zeng Lina, a freshman majoring in English, were runner-up. Xiong Jiashi, Gao Yuting, and Zhang Xiaobin won third prize; and Shi Yanhan, Zhang Huimin, Hou Yufang, and Liu Wei were awarded“Excellent Reader”.
The students who participated in the competition said that they wanted to contribute in the fight against the pandemic, and the competition only bolstered that conviction. They hope that the outbreak will end as soon as possible and they can enjoy the spring flowers of JISU again with their teachers and classmates.
