From December 5^thto 6^th, the Third Plenary Session of the Fourteenth Central Committee of CAPD was held in Beijing. As a member of the committee, Qin He, president of JISU, attended the meeting.

Cai Dafeng，Chairman of the CAPD, delivered a work report on behalf of the CAPD Standing Committee, and Executive Vice Chairman Liu Xincheng presided over the opening ceremony. Those present at the ceremony also included Vice Chairman and Secretary General GaoYoudong as well as other vice chairmen such as as Zhu Yongxin, Yao Aixin, Wei Xiaochun, Zhang Yudong, Wang Gang, Tao Kaiyuan, Pang Lijuan, and Huang Zhen.

Studying and upholding the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 19^thCPC Central Committee, participants of the meeting reviewed the work report (draft) of the Fourteenth Central Standing Committee, approved the committee’s third plenary meeting resolution (draft), and approved the publicity and ideological work regulations of CAPD (draft).

In the panel discussion, JISU President Qin He commented: “The report is clear in thinking, well focused, creative in form and highly effective. After a whole year of hard work on the part of the CAPD Standing Committee, great improvements have been made in various aspects including our ideology, political involvement, organization, and even work ethic. We have strengthened our political conviction, organizational foundation and the ability to perform our duties consistently. We have a more pragmatic work style, an ever improving system of management, new achievements in negotiation and political involvement, new results in social services, and new progress in relationships with the citizens of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The report focuses on building a well-rounded and prosperous society and commemorating the 75^thanniversary of the establishment of the CAPD. It sets out the guiding ideology and main tasks for next year's work with detailed content and clear goals. I am greatly pleased with the report.”
