Duringthe weekend ofNovember 29thand30th,TheGuangdong Forum on Non-Government Funded Education (NGFE) 2019 was held in Guangzhou. President Qin He was invited to attend this forum and delivered a keynote speech.

The Forum was co-hosted bytheGuangdong Institute of Education and The China Association for NGFE and organized by Lingnan Institute of Technology. It was co-sponsored by Guangdong Education Magazine, Guangdong Higher Education Press and Guangdong Audio-Visual Textbook Publishing House. More than 260 experts and scholars in the field of NGFE from Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Jilin, Zhejiang, Hunan, Guangdong and other provinces, as well as relevant personnel in private schools (kindergartens), training institutions and organizations at all levels had a in-depth discussion on the theme of "Vision 2035: the Modernization of Non-government Funded Education ".

President Qin He delivered a keynote speech in the forum.

“Non-government funded Universities with Distinctive Features”, President Qin analyzed new situationsand the task for NGFU inanew eraof learning,bysharing the experience of JISU’s development practice. She pointed out that China's higher education has entered into a new era. It is the responsibility of NGFU to meet the expectationsof the society and people.

Pursuingdistinctivefeatures, qualification and innovation is the only way to develop high-level NGFU in order to realize a sound governance ofamodern university. At ahigh-level university, NGFU should take moral education as the core mission and constantly improve the core competitiveness with adjusting majors driven by innovation.
