The final of the 12th Employability Contest, highlighting the theme “Go beyond Dreams and Succeed in Future Career”, was held in the auditorium of Shiqiao Hall on November 13.
Hosted by the Division of Admission and Employment of JISU, and jointly organized by the Changchun Human Resources Service Industrial Zone, the contest aimed to comprehensively implement JISU’s five-dimensional education system for students’ future career growth, assist them to build a proper concept of employment, promote their transformation from professional ability to vocational ability, and improve their job-seeking skills. The contest was crafted as a platform where JISU’s students can practice their job-seeking skills through interaction with representatives of enterprises on the spot. It has become an essential part of JISU’s employment guidance for the students.
The judges of the contest were: Fan Delu, Vice President of Universal Education Group, Zhong Guangxia, Partner of Changchun Fangda Human Resources Consulting Co., Ltd., Bian Kun, Human Resources Director of Changchun Branch of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, Ren Lirui, General Manager of Changchun Caiku Management Consulting Co. Ltd., Liu Chunyan, Producer and Chief Reporter of Exclusive Interview of Jilin Education TV Channel, Liu Xiaolong, Director of European Zone of Ningbo Gaosong Electronics Co., Ltd., Ge Zhinan, Personnel Administration Manager of Jilin Huaqi Enterprise Management Services Co., Ltd., and Han Tingting, Director of Human Resources Outsourcing Center of Changchun Longtian Hua’er Human Resources Outsourcing Co. Ltd. They attended the contest, along with Guo Chunyang, Assistant General Manager of Changfa Human Resources Industry Investment (Changchun) Co., Ltd., Miao Jing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of JISU, Lu Yanli and Jing Min, Deputy Directors of Division of Admission and Employment, Directors of Student Affairs Office of JISU’s colleges and schools, and guidance teachers of the Career Planning Team.
The Judges award Enterprise Express Cards for the outstanding contestants
After fierce competitions in the preliminary and rematch rounds, 11 contestants finally entered the finals. Coupled with the scores on site, the contestants also gained votes through WeChat’s online public platform. The professional ability and vocational quality of the contestants were tested through their self-introduction andpressure reaction in interviews. The wonderful performances of the contestants won warm applauses from the audience. The judges commented on the performance of the contestants one by one and awarded Enterprise Express Cards for the outstanding contestants, which will provide them opportunities of internships and jobs.
In the end, Liao Ying won the first prize, Wu Bingda and Lu Bibo won the second prize, Zhang Qian, Cao Yuxue, and Zhang Yangfeng won the third prize. And Zhang Minghui, Wang Yirong, Luan Yanze, Zhang Chengyuan, and Wang Cui won the excellent prizes. College of English, College of Education, College of Western Languages, College of International Economics and Trade, and School of International Business and Management were rated as “Excellent Organizational Units”.
This contest won good reviews from the students. They agree that they have experienced the lifelike job-seeking process in person through the contest and gained more interview experiences and professional skills. They believe that the contest has provided them an opportunity to understand themselves comprehensively and promote their employability.
