On Aug 24,a delegation oftwelve peopleheaded byMichal Kortyš, lieutenant governor of Pardubicky Kraj,and Ge Wanna,theCharge d’affaires of the Czech consulate in China,visitedJISU and donated nearly 100 original Czech books to JISU’slibrary.

Wang Jie, Vice-President and Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, and Zhao Shuqin, Library Curator,and related personnel received the visitors.

The delegation visited the Global Village—a practiceteachingcenter forinternationallanguages andculture andthen attended thebook donation ceremony on the fourth floor of the library.

Michal Kortyš expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He said that they spoke highly of JISU’s educational policy:“all for the sake of students to become successful and helpful citizens”,andtheywould activelyhelpJISUdevelop its newly offeredCzech major andconstructtheCzech Village located in theGlobal Village. Moreover, the delegation would actively strengthencooperative relations between Czech universities and JISU in terms of student exchange, teacherexchange,and curriculumco-construction.

This visit was an important step incontinuing to develop theCzech major, expanding international exchange and cooperation, enriching the collectionof original foreign language books,and promotinginternational education.
