On May 15, 2019, leaders from the Jilin Province Department of Civil Affairs visited Jilin International Studies University (JISU), including: Qiao Heng, Director-General and Secretary of the Party, Xiang Ying, Vice Director-General, and Wu Changbin, from Jilin Province Administration of Social Organization,.
Accompanied by President Qin He, they toured the Central Square, the Library, the International Exchanges Center, and the Global Village, the World Multicultural Education Center. They gave high regard for the University’s mission – “all for integrated, talented and successful students” – and its guidelines to provide students with the most reliable, responsible and quality education. They were also impressed by its high-quality educational and instructional environments and interna- tionalization-oriented atmosphere.
A conference was arranged at the International Exchanges Center where President Qin He briefed the development of JISU.
Director-General Qiao responded with several constructive points. JISU has been committed to non-profit education and public welfare since the time of its establishment, and has enjoyed high esteem across society for its great educational efforts. The University has educated a large number of qualified application-oriented graduates of foreign languages and foreign affairs that have helped to promote both the national “B n’ R” Initiative and the local economy. It is invigorated by its inspiring educating mission, objective top-level plan, internationalization-oriented administration features, and century-old renowned university goal. The Department of Civil Affairs will steadfastly bolster JISU’s development due to the fact that its new and elevated contribution will undoubtedly promote the rejuvenation of Jilin Province.
