A 5-person team delegated by Yang Andi, director of the Jilin Province Department of Culture and Tourism, paid a visit to Jilin International Studies University (JISU) on the morning of May 8, 2019.
During this visit, she was accompanied by her subordinates including Mr. Jinzhenlin, Director of the Resources and Development Office, Mr. Gongdapeng, Director of the Personnel Department, and a few other officials and experts.
The team, happily accompanied by president Qin He, visited Changchun’s History Museum and Center Square as well as JISU’s library, the International Exchange Center, and the Global Village, which is the World Multicultural Education Center at the university. They highly praised the university’s mission— “All is for students to be integrated, talented and successful” and its vision to provide students with the most reliable, responsible and quality education which is in accordance with its goals to make JISU a bridge between Chinese and Western cultures. They were also impressed by the high-quality educational and teaching environment and internationalization-oriented atmosphere.
A meeting was held in the International Exchanges Center where a presentation related to the current development of JISU was given by President Qin He.
Ms. Yang pointed out that JISU is on its way to contribute more to the advancement of the winter sports and tourism sectors, important because of the upcoming Winter Olympics in China, through its commitment to cultivate application-oriented and qualified students through its unique and interdisciplinary training models such as “Language plus Major,” its overseas exchange programs, and its overall internationalization-oriented atmosphere.
