The 28^thWanshou Forum, jointly sponsored by the International Department, Central Committee, Communist Party of China (IDCPC) and Tsinghua University and co-organized by the Research Office, International Department, Central Committee, Communist Party of China (IDCPC) and Institute for Global Development, Tsinghua University, was held at Schwarzman Scholar, Tsinghua University on April 27, 2019. A keynote presentation about The Belt and Road Initiative—A New Type of Globalization and Global Governance echoed to speeches delivered by President Xi Jinping in the 2^ndBelt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF). Guo Yazhou, the Deputy Secretary of IDCPC and Chen Xu, the Secretary of the Communist Party Committee, both gave opening remarks. President Qin He of Jilin International Studies University (JISU)was also invited to attend the forum.

More than 100 participants of top foreign leaders, representatives of international parties, presidents of universities, scholars and experts, as well as a myriad of honored guests including Massimo D’Alema, the former prime minister (PM) of Italy, Madhav Kumar Nepal, the former PM of Nepal, Mohammed Biyadila, the former President of the Senate of Morocco, Machado, the First Vice-President of the Ruling Party of Republic of Argentina, Pinafore, the General Secretary of the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front of Ethiopia, Koizumi Ryuushi, the International Secretary of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, had an in-depth exchange of their views in this forum.

A number of ex-politicians, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and celebrities were invited to attend the forum with more than 200 participants from 5 continents and over 30 countries including Russia, America, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, El Salvador, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, and Indonesia. It created a stage for a worldwide, high-level, and in-depth dialogue and further solidified the social and civil foundations for the BRF.
