The opening of the 2019 China National Annual Conference for Translation & Interpretation Education organized by Xi'an International Studies University (XISU) and sponsored by the China National Committee for Translation & Interpretation Education and the National Office for Translation & Interpretation affiliated by China’s School for Academic Degree & Graduate Education begin in Xi’an on April 27, 2019. As a member of the Committee, President Qin He from Jilin International Studies University (JISU) was invited to deliver a speech on behalf of the next sponsor for the Conference.
In the light of “Training for Translators & Interpreters in the New Era—Mission and Innovation,” all of the development in education for Masters of Translation and Interpreting during the last year was in a thorough retrospect across the board in the Conference when the presented issues and challenges translators & interpreters meet in the new era. The Conference was designed with 5 keynote addresses, 6 oral presentations and 6 group-formulas. Discussed and explored issues for participants covered Training for Translators & Interpreters and MTI Education in the New Era, Development and Innovation for Theories of Translation and Interpreting in the New Era, Development for Instructors of MIT Education, Management & Assessment for MTI Practice and Internship Bases, Translation & Interpretation Technology Application of MTI Instruction, and Development for MTI Majors in Minor Languages. The Conference exerted a strategic influence on the education for MTI in terms of academia, content and feedback.
The 2020 China National Annual Conference for Translation & Interpretation Education will be held at JISU.
