An Opening Ceremony of Training Camp of the 5th China College Students “Internet Plus” Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition Is Hosted at JISU

An opening ceremony of training camp of the 5th China College Student “Internet Plus” Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for Undergraduates was hosted in the stadium of the Jilin International Studies University (JISU) on April 10, 2019. It was thoroughly monitored by Fan Delu, Honorary Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIE) and Deputy Chairman of Wanxue Educational Science & Technology Co., Ltd as approximately 5,000 teachers and students attended.

Fan made a profound explanation of the schedule, review rules, business plans, and preparation of Power Point for the Road Show. He did a specific analysis on the sources of projects, the strategies of topic selection, the brainstorming of targets, and the internal resources marching through cases, which greatly inspired students present.

A lot of students exchanged their startup ideas with Fan, who offered detailed analysis and patient direction upon the ending of the event. Some projects for public welfare also gained some in-depth guidance from Fan, who highly appraised their ideas and passions in entrepreneurship, and embraced full confidence in the projects.

Professor Qu Ran, working in School of Management in Jilin University on an invitation to the Training Camp, delivered a thematic explanation for start-up instructors at JISU. She, speaking from the perspective of a judge of the competition, shared her proposals and experiences by coaching the competition through vivid awarded cases and preparing stories.

JISU students have participated in the China College Student “Internet Plus” Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition since 2015 and have created a variety of qualified projects with huge market potentials and great social benefits. Up to this point, 777 projects have been submitted by 2,980 contestants, and a variety of prizes have been awarded including: 4 bronze prizes at the national-level Final Round, as well as 5 gold prizes, 4 silver prizes, and 13 bronze prizes at provincial-level Finals.

The Camp will be opened in roughly 3 months, including a series of sections, such as: Training on Teachers & Students, Road Show, and Pre-game Instrument. Xiao Bei, Dean of the School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, said, as an organizer of the Competition in Jilin Province, will take advantage of this opportunity to deepen educational reforms on innovational and entrepreneurship, strive for improving innovational spirits and practical abilities, and make endless efforts to optimize educational models of innovation and entrepreneurship. It will persist in demand-driven practices, serve economic development across the region, and strengthen resource collection so as to form a sound ecological-system to multi-dimensionally support innovation and entrepreneurship for students. It will proactively implement a fundamental task of moral education and make solid efforts to carry out the Youth Dream-Building Program for Old Revolutionary Areas. It will lead students to actively confirm the requirements from its pairing-assistance areas and provide substantial aid in means of students’ innovation and entrepreneurship to help farmers increase incomes and realize regional poverty alleviation. The University will have a widespread, public launch to advocate and exhibit the achievements of its educational innovation and entrepreneurship through a range of activities, so as to build a new banner of dedication to innovation and startup for college students.
