Mar 3, 2025 10:17 AM

Jointly organized by the Wushu Center of the General Administration of Sport and the Chinese Wushu Association, “2018 National Tai Chi Open (Finals)” was held in Rongchang, Chongqing on the 6th of Nov. Delegated by the coach, Ms.Song from P. E. Department, Qu Chengwei in Class 1401 and Guan Pengfei in Class 1601, majoring in English-Spanish and English-Japanese respectively, have achieved the fifth and sixth places in the Man’s 24-Posture Tai Chi match.

196 athletes representing 42 teams from 17 provinces and municipalities competed in 32 events. Among them, some are the champions of the mass group in the National Games; some coaches are national competitors and others are famous masters and their followers. This is really an eye-catching competition.

This is the first time that our school’s students competed in the national finals, which will definitely spur students to be more active in sports. This will hopefully encourage teachers to further commit themselves to the successful teaching reform that has been happening which allows students more freedom to pursue a variety of different passions.
