Doctor Mariella Remund, director of Mexico and China relations at CETYS University in Mexico, visited Huaqiao. Wang Jie, assistant president and director of international exchange and cooperation department received the visitors.

The two sides have conducted in-depth communication and exchanges on the programs with a preliminary willingness to cooperate. Both sides agreed to focus on the promotion of the “2+2” and “3+1”interdisciplinary dual-degree programsfor the students from thecollege of western languagesand English school in Huaqiao and the colleges of business administration, society and humanities, and engineering in CETYS University in Mexico. Additionally, they discussed student scholarships, teacher exchanges, and student summer camp exchanges.

CETYS University in Mexico, built in 1961, is a private nonprofit university in Baja California. Its teaching quality ranks at the top of the region and is one of the few universities approved by China, America and Mexico.

The conversation promoted the cooperation and communication in various fields between the two universities and provides much more opportunities for students who want to study abroad, international cooperation in teaching and research, as well as the internationalized running of the schools.
