From December 1 to 6, 2017, the 12th National Congress of the China Association for Promoting Democracy was held in Beijing. Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, met with all the delegates and delivered a congratulatory speech on behalf of the CPC Central Committee.
The Congress elected the 14th Central Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy. President Qin He was elected member of the 14th Central Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy.
