JISU’s Sino-Foreign Cooperation Program Successfully Passes the Evaluation

Recently, the German Undergraduate Education Program jointly organized by JISU and the University of Applied Languages (Internationale Hochschule SDI München) passed the 2020 Sino-Foreign cooperation evaluation by the Ministry of Education.

The Sino-Foreign cooperation program of the German undergraduate education was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2016 and commenced in enrolling students in 2017, adoptingthree years within the school + a one year internshipmodel of talent cultivation. Students who finish all required courses, pass examinations, and meet the degree-awarding standards of both parties can obtain bachelorsdegree certificates (dual degree) issued by JISU and the University of Applied Languages (Internationale Hochschule SDI München) and the bachelor degree certificate of JISU.

Located in Munich city, the capital of Bavaria, Germany, the University of Applied Languages (Internationale Hochschule SDI München) is recognized as a well-known university in Germany and throughout Europe for cultivating talents majoring in interpretation and translation. It is also the only higher education institution in Germany that specializes in foreign languages. The employment rate and training qualities of the program have always been widely praised by students and their parents. A lot of students have positively applied for the university in recent years and the enrollment scale has been stable. During the COVID-19 pandemic, these two universities actively cooperated to overcome difficulties to ensure that the first batch of students sent to Germany can study without unnecessary trouble.

After the evaluation of the Ministry of Education, JISU Sino-Foreign Cooperation Program meets the criterion of Sino-Foreign Cooperation University-operating activity and reaches the teaching quality standards. JISU and  the University of Applied Languages (Internationale Hochschule SDI München) all agree that they will take the opportunity of evaluation, strengthen further cooperation, ensure the normal operation and sustainable development of the program, and continually improve the quality of talents.

The 2020 Sino-Foreign cooperation evaluation by the Ministry of Education is required by related terms including the Higher Education Law, Regulations of the Peoples Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running schools, Implementation Measures for the Regulations of the Peoples Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, etc. As for the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education project for talent training in three academic years, the Ministry of Education has implemented measures of quality assessment and comprehensive evaluation for progress of international cooperation and exchanges, standards of education and teaching, and efficiency of talent training. Currently, JISU has conducted three Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education projects. Apart from the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education program of the German program for undergraduate education, the finance program for undergraduate education program co-organized by Jilin International Studies University (JISU) in China and New Jersey City University (NJCU) in America passed the evaluation of Sino-Foreign Cooperation program by the Ministry of Education in 2019. The Spanish program for undergraduate education co-established by Jilin International Studies University (JISU) and Universidad politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) will start to enroll students in 2021 and is estimated to be evaluated by the Ministry of Education in 2024.
