JISU Concludes A Cooperation Agreement with University of Gdansk

Recently, JISU has concluded a cooperation agreement with the University of Gdansk in Poland, aiming to carry out long-term and short-term communications and study programs for our students majoring in Polish in JISU.

In accordance with the agreement, JISU’s students majoring in Polish can either go to the University of Gdansk to study the Polish language and culture for one or two years or they may participate in short-term communication activities during summer and winter vacation after finishing one-year of Polish courses. The University of Gdansk will provide the students with a certificate of study, transcripts, etc.

The University of Gdansk, a public university with solid strength, is crowned as the largest institution of higher education in Pomerania, Poland. It has set up 221 majors in nearly seventy-four fields, homing more than 35,000 students and about 1,700 faculty.

The Polish undergraduate major at JISU was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2018 and started to recruit students in 2019. We are committed to cultivating talents with solid Polish language foundation and a certain level of English competency. JISU and the University of Gdansk are also committed to teaching sound reason, complete knowledge structures, competent professional skills and critical thinking ability, so students can master the language, know the nation, and be professional. The hope is that students will engage in translation, management and various other activities in diplomacy, economy, culture, news media, education and other departments and fields of practicality producing multiple, international talents in foreign language and foreign affairs. The cooperation with University of Gdansk is of great significance to upgrade Polish as a major, improve talent quality, and improve the process of international education.
