Students of JISU Win the Bronze Medal of the 6th China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

A few days ago, the national primary contest of the 6th China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to an end. Our university undergraduates’ entrepreneurship project “Gathering Strength-New Professional High-level Human Resources Provider Driven by the New Liberal Arts” won the Bronze Award.

The project provided practice and application-oriented qualified personnel for corporation by classes of directional training, customized classes and practical classes, and assisted universities to jointly cultivate compound talents. Since its first operation in 2017, it has offered innovative talent training plans for over ten universities, and recommended more than ten thousand outstanding college students to numerous corporations.

Wang Dandan, the founder of the project and 2016 Business English graduate, said that their original aspiration for the entrepreneurial project was to cultivate qualified college students for colleges and universities and empower them for their new occupations along with providing a high-level of human resources. They realized that there was still much room for improvement after the competition. They appreciated JISU, their Alma Mater, for its strong support and would strive to continuously make innovations and enhance the social value and service effect of the project.

This competition was launched in April, 2020 and lasted nearly eight months. 898 projects from JISU were collected to sign up for the contest, among which were thirty-four involving media, literature, education, human resources and other fields qualified for the provincial competition. After an online roadshow and final review, four projects including “Gathering Strength- Provider of New Occupation and High-level Human Resources Driven by New Liberal Arts”, “Jingmo Culture”, “Beihu Education for Care for Children”, and “Little Yellow Fish Media” won the provincial gold awards. Nine projects including “Environmental Protection Scheme of Changbai Mountain & Sonehua River Wetland Envoy” and others received silver awards, and twenty one, including “Achieving Leaping Progress of Enterprise” won the bronze awards.

The “Internet+” competition has provided a wonderful platform for college students to conduct innovation and entrepreneurship, get access to the real needs of society, accept reasonable advice and suggestions of experienced entrepreneur investors, test their innovative and entrepreneurial ideas, and accelerate the process of innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Xiao Bei, Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. “JISU will fully utilize platforms like the ‘Internet+’ contest. Answering the call to truly realize ‘facilitating learning with contests, spurring teaching with contests, and promoting innovation with contests’, JISU will actively offer students diverse development space for innovation and entrepreneurship, to create a good environment to fully support their innovation and entrepreneurship activities and to work to cultivate high-quality talents with the capability to innovate, start businesses, and adapt to development.”
