JISU Wins the Gold Prize For Jilin Province In the 2020 Chinese Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition

On September 11th - 13th, the Jilin provincial finals of the 2020 Chinese Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition were held in the Innovation Park for Youth. After a closely fought competition, “Journey to the Heart and Beneficial Travel”--- project of rural youth growth plan, won the gold award. The “Connecting China and World as well as Prosperous Translation Cause” voluntary project, “Sunny Dream”---the voluntary project of creating a secure bright learning environment, and “Baishan and Songshui” environmental protection project all earned the silver awards. And the voluntary service projects of “Positive Action on the Ice and Snow---Contribution to Cultural Tourism” project and “Guide in the Stations” both won the bronze awards.

The competition covered the major steps of the project roadshows and project sharing and exchanges, while aiming to profoundly implement the spirits of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Organization Conferences and primary instructions for voluntary work. They also strove to significantly gear up the innovation and development of youth voluntary project and strengthen the training and cultivation of voluntary organizations.

        This competition stimulated a great enthusiasm of organizing and participating in voluntary activities for students in JISU. It offered an energetic platform to improve students’ qualities, cultivate students’ balanced abilities of organization and coordination, and make voluntary service better. The project leaders who won prizes all showed that they will strengthen their capabilities of design and event planning for the volunteer programs, determine their ideas and goals of volunteer projects, and play team-cooperating part based on the opportunity of the contest. They have dedicated their energy and youth to inheriting a charitable spirit and the bridge spirit of JISU and building volunteer service brand of JISU.
